Privacy Statement
Last updated: October 18, 2026
iNote stores notes, links and files and uses the information needed to sign you in, provide notebook features and run the service.
Which service this covers
This statement covers the iNote notebook service at inote.ca.
Information and purposes
- Account and sign-in information: a provider identity identifier and an email address when supplied are used to identify the account and complete sign-in. Use one of the providers shown on the sign-in page. Microsoft sign-in supports personal accounts.
- Your workspace: notes, links, uploaded files and their organization and descriptive information are processed to save, retrieve, search and display the material you request.
- Session and security information: account status, creation dates, session records, request times and security outcomes are used to check access, prevent misuse and keep the service working. Network information such as IP addresses is used to deliver and protect requests.
- Service administration: authorized service operators use account details, account status and storage usage to manage the service.
When hosting analytics is enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics may measure page views and browser performance, and your browser may send page and performance information to Cloudflare. See Cloudflare's analytics description. Sign-in does not require permission to read your Microsoft mailbox or cloud files. The sign-in provider processes its own authentication requests under its own privacy practices.
Storage and service providers
Your notes and files are encrypted when stored. Cloudflare hosts the service and stores your notebook content and the records needed to run it.
Cloudflare and the enabled sign-in provider necessarily process requests to supply hosting and authentication. Their processing and network locations may differ from yours; this statement does not promise storage only in Canada. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Microsoft's privacy statement. Where Google sign-in is offered, see Google's privacy policy.
Sign-in information on your device
iNote uses necessary sign-in cookies and temporary information in your browser tab to manage sign-in and workspace access.
Refreshing the notebook or opening another tab requires you to sign in again. Sign out when finished. Signing out ends workspace access but does not delete stored notes or files. If phone sign-in is offered, temporary codes and approval records connect the device you approve to your account.
Retention and your choices
Signing out or disconnecting a sign-in provider does not remove stored content. Moving an item to Trash is separate from permanent deletion.
To ask about your account information, a correction or deletion, send a brief description through the Contact form.
Contact and privacy requests
Use the Contact form for questions about iNote, account support or privacy requests. Start with a brief description. Do not include passwords, private notes, files or identity documents.
We collect your email address and message to handle your request. Submissions are processed using Google services.
Changes to this statement
