Terms of Service
Last updated: October 18, 2026
These terms cover the iNote notebook service at inote.ca. Read the Privacy Statement to understand how information is handled.
Using the service
The service provides a private workspace for notes, links and files. These terms describe the conditions for using it. If you do not agree to these conditions, do not use the service.
Use an identity you control and protect your account and device. Choose a provider offered on the sign-in page. Microsoft sign-in supports personal accounts. Signing in with different providers does not automatically combine accounts that share an email address.
Your content
You retain your rights to the material you store. You give the service permission to store, transmit, encrypt, decrypt and display that material as necessary to provide the features you request.
Only store material you are entitled to use. Do not use the service to break the law, interfere with other users, bypass access controls, distribute malicious software or disrupt the service.
Security and sessions
Your notes and files are encrypted when stored. Read the Privacy Statement to learn how your information is used.
Workspace access is tied to the current browser tab. Refreshing or opening another tab requires sign-in again. Signing out ends workspace access; it does not delete your stored content. Always sign out before leaving a shared device.
Availability and changes
The service is evolving. Features may be unavailable, changed or withdrawn. Keep your own copies of important material. The service does not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular recovery outcome or permanent preservation of your content.
Access may be limited to protect the service or respond to misuse. Where a change materially affects these terms or information handling, the revised documents will identify their updated date. Review the current documents before continuing to use changed features.
Stopping use and requests
You may stop using the service at any time. Signing out, disconnecting a sign-in provider or moving an item to Trash does not delete your account. For questions about account information, corrections or deletion, use the Contact form and start with a brief description. Do not include passwords, private notes or identity documents.
Questions
For questions about these terms, use the Contact form. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not allow the service to limit.
